  • The size and type of the metallic jewellery also trigger the infection of nose piercing. In order to avoid such complication I suggest to wear nose piercing rings or pins that are not very small in size as it may reduce the diameter of pierced hole.

As any irritation can cause infection and it will result in a nose bump. Never use alcohol or hydrogen per oxide solution to sterilize your stud or to clean your infected area, it could further complicate the condition.

Always wash your hand with a good antiseptic soap before you touch your nose stud. Apply some antiseptic cream or lotion before going out, as dirt and bacteria in air can cause infection.
