Ear Piercing – Now For Guys And Gals

September 13th, 2009 · No Comments · Ear Piercing

Ear piecing may just be the most common type of body piercing there is. Many years ago, only women have their ears pierced, but that is no longer the case now. Even males have come to adopt the idea of ear piercing as a fashion statement or as a way of expressing themselves.

Piercing the ears is not a difficult procedure because the ear lobes are made up of soft tissues. However, it does not mean that it does not hurt at all. The pain can be dull or aching, but tolerable and does not last for long. However, the healing process can take about 6-8 weeks. When you have had your ears pierced, you need to watch out for signs of infection — yellowish or greenish discharge, and swelling and redness on the affected area, in which case you must report it to your doctor at once.

You can have your ears pierced for as low as $25.00, and you can have a nice pair of earrings for just about the same price. There are so many jewelry designs available, and that makes choosing more challenging but exciting!

So whether you are male or female, ear piercing is definitely something you may want to consider.
